Each scale is divided into 2 parts. Part 1 focuses on typical scale patterns, and Part 2 focuses on repetition to help build muscle memory and ‘iron out’ some of the more awkward patterns.
This book was written for anyone who wishes to improve their scales, regardless of their current ability to play the instrument. In this book, you will find the following scales in all keys: Major, Harmonic Minor, Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Aeolian, Locrian, Whole Tone, Half-Whole Diminished, and Whole-Half Diminished scales.

You can work on this book in any way you please! You may want to start at the beginning and work all of the way through the book in one day (taking over 5 hours!), or you may want to work on one scale type each week. You could also divide your practice into ‘Part 1’ and ‘Part 2’ days, doing only one part per day, which would mean that you can work your way through the book only spending about 15 minutes each day if you want. Either way, you can use this book in whatever way suits you best.
