This work, for tuba and strings, is based on the theme of the Dies Irae. It is about 8.5 minutes in duration, and moves between featuring the tuba and featuring the strings. It was written to be performed as part of a tuba recital, and so it is both enjoyable for the audience to listen to, and also offers challenges to the solo tuba.
